6. Castle Activities; Riding, Cycling, Yoga, Table Tennis and Walking.
Well I thought this was going to be a relaxing sitting around sort of trip and I worried that I had not brought enough books to read. To be honest, it could have been if I had wanted but there was so much to do and see .......
Riding
At the castle they have beautiful Marwari horses, distant relatives of the desert Arabs, with unusual curved ears. There are horses that guests can ride.
Cycling
There are 4 bicycles there to use and KP came with us as a guide, the nice thing about a bike is that you can stop when you want to ......
Yoga
The lovely Kulwinder came from Delhi as our yoga teacher, offered us yoga on the roof top twice a day and was an inspiration..... she even also passed on a little of her tai chi! And she always looked gorgeous .... I would really love free range of her wardrobe!! We even did our yoga when we "camped" at the lake.
Table Tennis
Julian, one of our happy gang, volunteered to organise a table tennis (or is it still "ping pong"?) championship! Its amazing the competitive streak some of us have lying dormant that comes to life!!
Walking
KP was always on hand for an early morning walk at 8am - after yoga and before breakfast! He has a very impressive knowledge of birds and eyes sharp enough to spot them! Louise was very interested and brought a good pair of binoculars which definitely came in very handy!
Wonderful walks and a couple of river crossings!!
A metal curved scythe on the end of her long pole enables her to cut branches for her goats
With no water the land is just dry desert, but as soon as it is irrigated it comes alive and is very fertile.
A new fence blocked our way - but with some masterful "Down Dog" everything is achievable!!
A lady brings a large bag of food for her cattle
Be careful joking about goat curry!
